Digitisation of traffic orders moves a step closer.

We were delighted to see confirmation in the briefing notes for the King’s Speech on 7 November that digitisation of traffic orders (D-TRO) will be part of the new legislative programme going forward. We have been pioneering the digital representation of TROs with our ParkMap platform since 1995 so it is good to see it finally getting official and legislative recognition.

This project has involved Buchanan Computing Ltd. from its inception over 5 years ago and we have long considered D-TRO to be vital for creating a transport network fit for the future and the creation of smart cities capable of sustaining connected/autonomous vehicles, EV charging and much, much more.

We look forward to continuing to help shape the future look of these digital solutions and to seeing more detail on these plans over the coming weeks and months, as we continue working with Department for Transport (DfT), United Kingdom to help implement them across the UK.
